Wherever you go...there you are.

So, everyone knows that I'm way too invovled with the engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi. Well, it has just gotten worse! As of last week, I was appointed as a district seven director for Tau Beta Pi. So, you ask, what does that mean? Basically district directors are regional representatives of the national organization. In district seven's case, that region includes the southern penninsula of Michigan plus Ohio. District directors assist the local collegaite chapters by servering as sources of information and providing help when necessary. They also serve as the representatives of the region they represent and try to foster relations between the collegiate chapeters, alumnus chapters, and the national organization.
So the next question is how much do you make for this illustrious job? Can you believe, $75,000 per year. Of course you can't because that's only in my dreams. District directors get paid a whopping $0.00. Pretty cool, huh? The neat part is I get to go to meetings free of charge and I get to play a bigger role in an organization that I really enjoy being a part of. So I'm looking forward to the next three years as a district seven director...although the district had better watch out!
