Wherever you go...there you are.
August 07, 2002
Well, it's been awhile since I last posted, so here goes.
The last fun thing I did in May was visting one of my favorite places in Ohio...wait, it's my ONLY favorite place in Ohio. :) So over Memorial Day weekend, I along with a bunch of others spent some time at "America's Rockin' Roller Coast" This had to be one of the best Cedar Point trips I've had. We left Sunday morning and didn't return until Tuesday evening. To boot, we stayed at one of the Cedar Point resorts which makes the whole experience about ten times better!
Craig, Goran, Kristine, Mike, Mike's girlfriend, Nick, my parents, and I all went this time around. Everyone except Craig, Nick, and I only stayed only Monday evening, their loss. :) Craig, Mike, Mike's girlfriend, and I all got season passes since we planned on heading back later in the season. We stayed at the Sandcastle Suites Hotel which was way better than the crappy travelodge we stayed at last year...
So thats the boring crap. The Point ROCKS near Memorial Day. The crowds were light and lessened each day we were at the park. We got to ride everything multiple times including the MOST EXCELLENT MILLENIUM FORCE as well as the newest addition, Wicked Twister. We rode in the front, back, and middle of Wicked, and each offers a unique experience. I'm hard pressed to pick if the front or the back was better, they both were intense! The Millenium Force ruled as always and I went in the front for the second time which is jsut an experience in of itself. We also shot up and down a few times on the Power Tower...still the only ride in the park that makes my stomach drop to my toes. We also managed to hit everything else major at least once. Craig had never been on the Force, Twister, or Power Tower, so he had an especially good time. Nick also went on the rip-cord with Mike's girlfriend and Craig.
We're planning on heading back in the middle of October for one of the Hallo-Weekends...Interested" Leave a comment and I'll make sure to let you know more as October approaches.
